Background
Information
Tina Adams has long had a
vision of a far-reaching book promotion method that would enable
first time and little known published authors, as well as
beloved and popular authors with whom we are all familiar, to
sell more books.
With the advent of the
Internet, Adams expected to see major changes in the
way books were presented/promoted to readers, yet, with all
the techniques and strategies available to authors and book
promoters, present methods used to get the word out about a book
to readers have yet to measure up to her vision.
One of Adams's goals with
Excerptalicious.com
is to encourage authors to put their book promotion campaigns
into hyper-drive by putting it into the hands of their readers.
Another goal is to allow readers to seek out the book
information and entertainment they desire, without the pressure
of having to reveal personal information in order to gain access
to it, and then to share that information with other readers.
In October, 2006, Tina Adams
launched Excerptalicious.com to manifest that long-time vision
in the present, unleashing the largest reader-to-reader
word-of-mouth book promotion campaign ever.
